Saw online that this place had Kangaroo so I had to try it while in Sydney. The flavor was really good, however, my dish came out cold and could've been a bit more tender. They still get 5stars because the staff was really nice and was able to find a last minute table for me even through I didnt jave a reservation. I'd go back and I'd still order the Kangaroo again.

We started with the oysters, which were incredibly fresh and captured that perfect, briny 'taste of the sea.' For the main course, we had a beautiful ribeye—perfectly seasoned and cooked to a flawless medium. It paired complementarily with the charred, wood-fired greens, which added a wonderful smoky depth to the plate. ​The staff truly elevated the evening; they were polite and, more importantly, well-versed in the menu, providing excellent suggestions that hit the mark. The restaurant strikes a rare balance, offering a sophisticated yet cozy dining experience. An absolute must-visit here at the rocks!

Brought friends who‘re visiting Australia for the first time to try kangaroo meat, and we were enjoyed with this restaurant. The food was delicious and everything we ordered suited our tastes well. The dining area is bright, spacious, and very comfortable. The only thing was that the medium steak we ordered came out more like well-done, but the flavor was still good, so it was fine overall. Definitely a great place to experience local cuisine!

Lovely spot for lunch! Delicious food that just gets better! The smokiness of the mapo sauce with the burrata cheese, and the smokiness of the eggplant dip with the freshly made flatbread is just too yummy to describe! And do not miss out on the Kangaroo skewers!

Pony Dining The Rocks…..a sure gallop with good food. The waiters were polite and attentive to the orders. Be sure ti make reservations as it is a popular place.

Had a fantastic and relaxing lunch on the rear patio overlooking a historic laneway in The Rocks. The food was absolutely delicious and service was good. I’ll be sure to return!

The best Restaurant in Australia!!! An absolute diamond of culinary dinning! My husband and I spent 2 nights in Sydney (the rocks) and this restaurant was so good we booked twice! Fantastic varied menu with an open cooking station to admire and the opportunity to choose your own fresh lobster from the tank. The unique wood fire grill brings the most amazing flavours and the steak was mouth watering! We tried the Kangaroo skewers which were delicious and ordered a lobster to share, has to the best lobster we have ever eaten! The desserts were also superb, beautiful and light. The ambience of the restaurant is fantastic, the staff were so friendly and experienced and the wine list was well researched. I would totally recommend anyone to experience this incredible restaurant! Special thanks to Neil and Rodge and of course Saoirse for making our experience so special! Stumbled upon this place and it was just what we needed; fresh flavours, beautifully cooked food, great location. Order the special lunches chicken salad and tuna with soba noodles. Of course we couldn't stick to the special and had more wine and dessert. Overall pretty good value and we will be back.

We had a wonderful experience at Pony Steakhouse. We ordered two different steaks - the ribeye and the sirloin - both paired with salad greens. Each steak was cooked to perfection, beautifully tender with rich, well-balanced flavours. We were seated outside, which added to the lovely ambience. The service was fantastic; our server took the time to thoughtfully explain the menu and offer recommendations, which we truly appreciated. Overall, a fantastic dining experience and would highly recommend.
